
Abdullahi is the Research Operations Manager at GLAFPOL, where he manages coordination and supports the overall delivery of complex field research projects in Somalia. He oversees the operationalization of GLAFPOL’s governance and political research frameworks and ensures their execution in often sensitive and logistically demanding environments.
Abdullahi brings to GLAFPOL over ten years of experience conducting governance and political research, including his work with the Rift Valley Institute’s Somali Dialogue Platform, where he conducted research and managed subnational political analysis across multiple Federal Member States. Prior to that, he carried out extensive field research and data collection across South Central Somalia, contributing to studies on federalism, democratization, and conflict. His work reflects a grounded understanding of Somalia’s political landscape and the operational demands of research in sensitive environments.
