
Aya Badr is a Research Analyst Intern at GLAFPOL, where she supports research and analysis on governance and conflict issues in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Her research interests center on the intersections of security, identity, and governance in the Global South, with a particular focus on how political instability, state-building, and contested national narratives shape both formal and informal modes of governance. She has previously contributed to multi-country research projects in contexts such as Libya, Morocco, and South Africa.
Aya holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris, where she specialized in MENA studies through the research track. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with a focus on African politics, from the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) in Rabat.
